Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for children under the age of fourteen nationwide, making boating and aquatic safety education crucial. Student contest participants are asked to submit artwork depicting safe boating and aquatic themes. A total of nine winners, one from each grade level, are chosen to have their submissions featured on the Cal Boating's annual poster calendar. This contest turns students into teachers as they pass on the lessons they learned through their artwork.
