Welcome Administrators, Teachers and Parents

California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways (DBW) invites you to participate in the 21st Annual Safe & Wise Water Ways Poster Contest! All California students in kindergarten through eighth grade are eligible to participate. The primary goal of this contest is to educate students to be safe and wise when in or near the water.

One winner from each grade level will be selected to have their winning artwork displayed on the 2014 water and boating safety calendar, which will be distributed to schools, boating safety partners and boating enthusiasts throughout the state. Additionally, the winning artwork will be displayed at the California State Capitol during the 2014 boating season. All winning students will also receive a new, Coast Guard-approved life jacket.
