Commissioner Lenora S. Clark
Lenora S. Clark, a retired United States Postal Service Executive, is a member of the Boating and Waterways Commission. She was appointed to the Commission by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to serve a four-year term from 2004-08. She attended the University of San Francisco majoring in Public Administration.
Mrs. Clark began her career in the U.S. Postal Service in 1964. She was Postmaster of five different community post offices managing offices with up to 400 employees. Mrs. Clark’s career culminated with her post as the District Manager, Post Office Operations where she was responsible for the operational efficiency of post offices in ten major Bay Area cities.
In addition to her career in the U.S. Postal Service, Mrs. Clark has maintained membership in several boating associations. She is a member of the Ebony Boat Club where she heads their Scholarship committee and coordinates wholesome boating activities for inner-city youth. She also edits the club’s monthly publication, The Beacon. Mrs. Clark is a delegate to the Pacific Inter-Club Yachting Association. She is the President of Recreational Boaters of California (RBOC). Mrs. Clark has been Co-Chairwoman of the Legislative Committee since 2003 and is now serving as the Vice President of Recreational Boaters of California. Lenora Clark is an avid boater.
